I think watching how politician's "grow" in office has really softened my opposition.

I'm not against them if the terms are long enough for them to learn to be effecting, assuming they want to be effective. I reacted strongly against that term limit push a while back where house members said they would stick to one term. Two years silly. I'd say ten years is about right.
