Why is there only a tax on obscene corporate paychecks? If a small biz owner is able to pay his 10 employees $25k per year on average and make a million for himself, why doesn't he get taxed more?

re: The problem IMO being, that if you start with taxes on "obscene corporate pay checks" only, first of all one needs to define what that is. A say $200k limit for that would have a tendency of remaining firm for a long time after this could still be considered obscene. OK, adjust for wage inflation. re: Next this would only open the dams for more from the same tool box, which definitely is a predominant part of socialistic thinking. Taxes are by their nature social engineering. Every tax has a winner and a loser. The "tool box" has been in use forever... nothing new there. re: I know you are no lib or socialist at heart and thus already suspected you may not stand fully behind (all of) the items of same post ;) Why should the middle class subsidize the taxes of the oil companies at the expense of the working poor? If that is conservative or capitalist then go ahead and call me "lib and socialist".
