Lastly don't forget Nokia is the no1 brand in India, far ahead of Coke. They have such following that everyone wants one

This is true. But what the people are looking is simple plans, easy calling and roaming across networks. Reliance has screwed up initially with complicated and pricey plans where in people were scared after getting first few month bills. They hate Reliance so much that even after 3 years people still remember the horrible stories of huge bills. This impacted CDMA to some extent.

This is not saying much since Coke has had a long and contentious relationship with the Indians and was actually booted out of the country in the past, and have since made an effort at a comeback (maybe they finally learned about the discrete provision of expensive prostitutes).
