Gosh, do I detect a trend, here?

Toyota Motor Corp-TM reports June US sales up 14.4%
Toyota Motor Sales reported its best-ever first-half sales in 49 years of business in the U.S. with calendar-year-to-date sales of 1,223,542. June sales of 223,018, an increase of 14.4 percent over last June, contributed to a record-setting second quarter, with sales of 678,691 units

DaimlerChrysler-DCX reports June US Sales down 13%
DaimlerChrysler AG reported total group sales of 206,748 passenger vehicles in the U.S. for June 2006, a 13 percent decrease compared to June 2005.

Ford-F reports June US sales down 7%
Ford Motor Company's U.S. sales totaled 269,404, down 7 percent. Car sales were up 7 percent, but truck sales were down 14 percent.

General Motors Corp.'s GM vehicle sales tumbled 26% in June.
GM said Monday it sold 407,513 light vehicles, down from 550,829 in June 2005. In particular, sales of light trucks plunged 37% to 236,019. The category, which comprises sport-utility vehicles, minivans and pickups, has suffered mightily as car buyers have thought twice about buying gas-guzzling models.
