Many people switch parties for good or bad reasons. This former democrat is either not very smart or not paying attention. first of all, he is nuts if he thinks there was no wholesale cheating in Florida and Ohio. As for the blacks who were scrubbed, the NAACP filed a class action suit against Jeb Bush after the election and it was settled out of court. But the election was decided by 527 votes so it doesn't take a crowd of angry blacks marching the street to prove tens of thousands were disenfranchised. As for Ohio, the evidence is all pretty clear and will get evern clearer soon.

The only "nuts" these days are the freaks on the far right who claim Saddam was behind 9-11, Bush was delivered by God, Bush-Cheney give a damn about us, Terri Schiavo was alive and well, the world is going to end, Dubai Ports is a good idea, global warming doesn't exist, Iraq is headeed for "victory", Saddam shipped WMD to Syria and gas and oil prices are set by fair market forces.

This nimrod credits Bush for being strong against terrorism, but on Bush's watch the worst terrorism ever has happened and the Middle East is now in much worse turmoil than ever before. Bush may have dissed Arafat but look at who repolaced Arafat on Bush's watch, Hamas. Similar deal in Iran and Somalia. And now Al Sadr looks like the future leader of Iraq.

Osama Bin Laden is alive and well. Corruption is rampant in DC. Oil prices have doubled. Health care costs have doubled. The US budget deficits have exploded with no plan for repayment. Only the few have done well under Bush. Everything Bush has set forward is either completely unsustainable or has us headed toward some kind of a cold-hearted corporate one-party dictatorship. No exaggeration. Once the president is allowed to do anything he wants without laws, checks or balances, then democracy is finished. There also ought to be laws against Rove's smear campaigns. They have done this country and our democracy grave damage.
