Randy, it's obvious to me you didn't grow up in D.C. like I did. If we used the same standards and enacted laws to protect the people in the streets of D.C. or Detroit, Marshall law would be in force constantly.

By the way, in Greece, it's not an "unusual occurrence". Go spend some time there and leave your car or house unlocked in Athens. That and far more serious crimes happen every day in Greece.

The point isn't to gloss over whether it was wrong or not. The point is the publicity was on a grand scale and used as a lightening rod by the leftists press in Greece to get rid of the American military. All perspective, all compare and contrast is tossed aside for motivations which are obvious. The same thing is happening in Iraq. How many negative stories about contractors working there have you read? I'm sure you're not naive enough to believe not one incident has happened involving a crime and an American contractor.

If you cannot understand what I'm trying to get across at this point, there is no need for further communications.
