Fukui said last month his board will raise rates ``without delay' should investment become excessive. He also made similar statements regarding inflation readings.

We have a couple results from those guideposts since. 1. came out yesterday: Japan's largest companies plan to increase spending 11.6 percent this year, the most since the year ended March 1991, 2. from last weeK: CPI in Tokyo up 0.4% in May, and 0.3% in April.

Zero interest rates is a ludicrous policy under the circumstances, can't believe there is even a debate about it.
