California has a time of use option. Isn't too applicable to me, cuz I won't get paid, but the basic idea is that you pay (or get paid for) energy used during peak hours (1000-1800) at a rate about 3x greater than off peak hours. It would be perfect for me, cuz peak is when I make it, and off peak is when I use it. Or don't use it cuz I'm at work. But I don't get paid for the xs, so I can't take advantage. Whoops; this is the wrong PGE, but is basically the same program. Fooled me good; even the same color scheme. ================= On-peak Demand for electricity is high. You pay the highest price per kilowatt-hour. Price is higher than basic service. 13.735¢/kWh* Mid-peak Demand for electricity is between on-peak and off-peak. 8.149¢/kWh* Off-peak Demand for electricity is the lowest.
