Yes. I heard of time-of-use before and I think Nevada Power is currently running a trial on a limited basis for their regular (non-solar power) customers. The one thing I wish is for bigger state and federal incentives so that more people will take the plunge and move to solar power. Especially in high sunshine states.

There's a lot of deception about electric transportation.

People with electric cars gaze lovingly at their "pollution free", nearly silent vehicles. But that E has to come from somewhere, and in America it's usually a power plant burning natural gas or coal. From there, the power has to be transmitted over power lines with losses to the end user recharging his electric car.

In the end, is it better than a hyper efficeint internal combustion setup or a hybrid? I don't know, but I'm skeptical.
