As usual, your criteria for proof is sadly lacking. What you wrote proves nothing. First of all, you probably remembered only what you wanted to hear and, more important, this was only one man's opinion. Like you, he is entitled to his opinion.....just don't confuse opinion with fact or proof.

I know people (including family) who have served in Iraq, and yes, it will be difficult. Nobody is arguing this point!

But unwinnable? Try floating that idea in front of the American people. You would have probably called Germany unwinnable, and Japan, and Korea, and........
