I didn't say that the US was giving up on hunting down Osama. What is correct to infer is that before the shutdown of the unit, the US Govt. had assigned topmost priority to arresting the perpetrator in chief OBL. Now it is no longer a priority to go after Bush.

Please don't deliberately put words into my mouth as you attempted to in your post. It is change in priority not abandonment of the effort which is at issue here.
