<ZERO data>

This comes straight out of Nokia's press release last month....

"Nokia plans to ramp down its own CDMA R&D and MANUFACTURING BY APRIL 2007."

Of course, it doesn't take a genious to work out that Nokia is planning to shut down its entire CDMA operations BEFORE its IPR agreements with Qualcomm expires. Why would that be??

here's another point worth considering.....

Gelblum writes, “while Nokia cited unfavorable economics and growth trends as the reason…a side benefit is to purge Nokia of its need for a CDMA license from QCOM allowing Nokia to re-negotiate its W-CDMA license with QCOM purely on the terms of its W-CDMA patent portfolio, where Nokia believes it has a much stronger position.”
