Interesting article in today's NYTimes -- the US has more energy in coal reserves than Saudi Arabia has in oil, which could be liquified into motor fuel, and gasified into natural gas, but the technology produces much more CO2 than petroleum. Not only that, but it isn't cost effective unless oil prices stay high.

But there may be things that can be done with the CO2 that are economically worthwhile for reasons other than stopping global warming.

Hard to say.

I imagine that those going to the theater to see the movie are the already converted. But others may see it later on TV or in schools. Whether it will be persuasive is yet another question.
