"It's another knee-jerk reaction from those who think the only solution is ABB."

Just out of curiosity, do you see any realistic solution that includes Bush?

Well, ABB stands for "Anybody But Bush," and to many of us, we can't imagine an American President worse than Bush, and anyone that we think of is better than Bush, so wouldn't "anyone" be better equipped to solve the things we see as problems than Bush?

Z, Is there a single person here who thinks the only solution is socialism?

OK, let me rephrase. It's another knee-jerk reaction from those who think the only solution is ABB.

I think you may be creating a strawman by definition.

Just to set the record with you....I am an ABBer because he is both an incompetent and a liar.

In addition, I am for some aspects of socialism because there are far too many people in this country who do not have a safety net under them. Not only does it screw them up but it hurts the rest of us. I would rather spend the money that currently is going to the war in Iraq and to tax cuts on establishing some kind of safety net for these people. As one of the richest nations in the world that should not be encountering the opposition that it does. It seems there are some people who can't get with the program. Coincidently, or maybe not so coincidently, its usually the same people who voted for bush. But again, my opposition to bush is for the defects mentioned above.
