Not a single rightwing leader has ever served in combat. GHW Bush retired many years ago. So did Bob Dole. GHW Bush's main claim to fame was bailing out of his plane and letting his two co-pilots go down to their deaths. But GHW is still ten times the man his wayward son GW is.
