<For decades we've seen and put bandaids on this issue... lake Erie, Love Canal, Black Tuesday in Pittsburgh, Mercury in fish, dead animals, entire dead lakes and rivers! "Oh, we don't really need that river... we have fish from the ocean".... "look science has proven that the fish from the ocean will feed us for ever." "Science can prove that this one dead river can't possibly CAUSE any real EFFECTS to humanity... there is plenty of good water!"> I'm wondering where you get your ideas about science from. I've never seen independent scientists make these kind of statements (actually I've never seen them from _any_ scientist, or anyone with half a brain). I wonder if you are confusing science with corporate PR.
