I always buy American when I can. But frankly the US auto industry has thrown away potential customers like me by building gas guzzlers. They have had many chances to clean up their act, but now they are in the dumper, and GM just laid off 30,000 more American workers. Bush-Cheney couldn't give a damn about those US jobs, nor about the fact the Japanese are beating the pants off US automakers because they have national health care and we don't.
