No. The educational iMac uses the shared RAM Intel video. This is a lot slower than the iMac's 128MB ATI card - but can still run HDTV.

Looks to me that the iMac is exactly the same as the Edu iMac except the Superdrive.

It's more than that, check out: imac.com

Summary:
Memory 2 slots filled
ComboDrive, not SuperDrive
Shared-memory graphics
No Bluetooth, Apple Remote
$300-400 less

Many educational users (and others) may not find the differences meaningful for the extra cost.
