It's either Walmart or Burger King in most small towns in America. The good jobs are mostly all gone to the 3rd world, and Walmart has destroyed most of the small businesses. So people have little choice. It's harder than ever for heartland people to make ends meet, the the gas gouging is the final insult. After they've been tricked into buying gas guzzlers and told by Bush not to change their "way of life". Bush-Cheney and the rightwing completely support this tragic, shallow and unfair version of middle America. They are in bed with the very fat cat exploiters who have fleeced the people of the heartland and want to keep fleecing until there's nothing left to fleece.
