Thank God that Labor Unions enabled me to earn very good wages while I was working my way through college and law school. My work in the steel mill and as a brakeman on the railroad paid very well - Thanks to unions.

Bushies support an enslaved US middleclass with no health benefits, no job security, poor wages, no voting rights, no civil rights and no hope for the future. You have just exposed that by your ridiculous attack on unions, which have helped keep the US workingclass above water for many decades.

Corporate thuggery is much more violent and wicked than anything the unions ever put out there. Walmart is well-known for its thuggery, cruel violence and intolerance toward workers rights, civil rights and the environment. Walmart is also a monopoly which is illegal.

If you look at the mining strikes in the 30's, it was the robber barons' corporate thugs with machine-guns (supported by the politicians) who mowed down innocent workingmen. Bushies want to return to that era. They don't give a damn about the American workingman. And would love to replace every good American job with a Chinese or Mexican quasi-slave who they can pay pennies on the dollar to.

My financial stability is also partly due to a labor union. and thank God it was there, otherwise the corporations could have screwed me over and taken everything. The union also got me great health insurance for awhile, which could have saved my life if I'd fallen ill or been badly injured.

Once a huge corporation cheated me out of everything I'd worked for for a decade. I had to get my fair share with a litigation attorney, known in rightwing circles as a "trial lawyer". When a big corporation screws you over, you are helpless without either a union or a good attorney. Bushies want to take away both of those options which are basic rights every American should have. Without them, we all become slaves to the mega-corporate elite. Which is just the way Bushies want it.
