You can doubt Gore personally if you want to, but at least he is organizing and motivating people. Things are more likely to happen if people 1. know there is a problem 2. accept that there are solutions (rather than just wringing their hands and saying "well...maybe SOMEDAY") and 3. do something- even small things can start bigger things in motion- even symbolic things can lead to tangible events- that's the power of collective thinking and propaganda. While we don't like to see propaganda used for ill, it certainly can make a huge difference to an effort- that's why everyone uses it. I don't see the problems with pushing conservation and recycling, on the way to finding bigger and better engineered solutions. The more people talking about this, and thinking about it, the more likely we are to find existing technologies that could be used in new ways to help us with the problem.

If you live Green and argue against Green, what's the point?

Me? I live a pale green, but I talk Green. Go figure!
