The question is whether a warming trend is worth becoming alarmed about. The answer to that question has a huge impact on the future of mankind.

Voluntarily accepting a loadstone of unnecessary environmental regulations is not smart and will limit economic growth in the civilized parts of the world that accept the "responsibility".

If the skies a fallin and we wait for more conclusive evidence that mankind has a significant impact on the trend, what is the cost to mankind? Would the cost be disproportionately born by the part of civilization that accepts responsibility?

We appear to be in a cycle that has reduced cooling. Just for reference, after an ice age (even a mini ice age) is the average temperature trend warming or cooling? What is the cause for alarm?
