If Rasmussen is a "GOP pollster," does that make Zogby a "Democratic" pollster? If I recall correctly, Zogby's call on the 2000 presidential election was the closest of the major polling firms. Rasmuseen earned that distinction in 2004. Please show me some evidence that Rasmussen's results reflect an ideological bias.

Actually, Zogby conducted a poll on Wal-Mart last December and came up with results that are consistent with the Rasmussen poll if put into context. Zogby came up with a 58% to 38% favorable rating versus Rasmussen's 69% to 29% favorable rating. The difference is probably attributable to the major PR offensive that Wal-Mart launched this spring.

...58 percent of respondents hold a favorable opinion of Wal-Mart versus 38 percent who hold an unfavorable opinion.

Firms like Zogby and Rasmussen often perform polls for clients that have an ideological ax to grind. Zogby did a poll for an anti-Wal-Mart group. Did that fact distort the results of their subsequent poll on Wal-Mart?
