Re: AMD has to cut prices to dump product.

Schizophrenia can be cured - well medicated, anyway.

Anyone who's been following Intel (with it's Intel 65nm process) and AMD and doesn't understand that Intel slashed prices and AMD followed much later should seek medical attention.

Note also that AMD's old (and inexpensive) 90nm process has delivered 35w parts to dealer's shelves while Intel's expensive 65nm process has yet to do so.

As 65nm equipment becomes less expensive and more proven, AMD is moving to a 65nm process that need only be slightly better than their 90nm process to dominate Intel - and it will likely be a lot more than slightly better.

AMD is supplying a quarter of the market with a tenth the number of staff - and much less costs.

See if you can figure out just how disastrous for Intel that is, both short term and long term.

I have made a ton of $$ writing Puts

Just my opinion, but I think that claim just cost you a ton of credibility and the right to criticize anyone else for back dated trades. I can't count the number of times you ridiculed NG for his late posting. Now you do it your first post in 10 months.

You are on record for NOW going to (unspecified) naked calls. Good luck to you.

Still convinced Intel was making money in flash? How much money did you lose with AMD from 25 to 42?

LOL, the cowardly phudster plucks up enough courage to return ;-). So how much money did you lose when AMD went up from its 'natural' range of 10-15 to 42 ? ;-). You're going to lose a lot more when it still sticks around 30 you know so just keep writing those naked calls ;-). Btw didn't anyone tell you yet, Core 2 don't do Raid well and there are no motherboards so an alleged theoretical performance lead ain't going to be of much use here ;-). Also it's Intel cutting prices to dump product but you were never too hot on the truth ;-).

Happy Investing ...

He's baaaaaaaack! And imagine, coincidental with Sarmad's departure? ;-)

Hey ephud...bbbbbut AMD never traded above $16, it never does...so of course you made money...on all those naked calls you wrote as AMD ran up to $42...

Sheeeesh, looks like INTC's calling to arms anything it can get its hands on. Q2 financials must be hopeless if they've even had to call phuddy back into action "prior" to posting Q2 financials ;-)
