Exxon-Mobil is in monopolistic collusion with other mega oil firms which have been merging into one big collosus lately. Ever since two of their own got into the White House and others they own ran congress (Delay especially) they have been colluding and price-fixing like never before.

It's a monopoly. And so are the refiners. They control the flow, the price and the spin. Even Bill O'Reilly openly admits that, and he's a Bush supporter.

Plus, Bush-Cheney and their pals are tightly connected to the Saudis, Mexicans and Kuwaitis and they control the Iraqi oilfields so they definitely jack up oil prices and keep them up. Prince Bandar offered to lower oil prices prior to the 2004 election for Bush if he wanted. That was overheard by Bob Woodward at the White House. Apparently Bush didn't want to.
