Pals did change and for the worse. How else do you classify the move to terror post the 6 day war. Back in 67 labor was in charge of Israel and Greater Israel wasnt the policy. Settlements were supposed to prod the arab states to the table to prevent further israel de facto expansion which always would morph into dejure. Instead the arab states refused to talk and the pals chose the terror path at the olympics. The ironic thing is that post 67 war, pals in the wb were so hopeful and many said publicly that israel would bring them into the 20th century. But then there was Arafat.
