I was talking more about preserving one's own race. DDT IS available and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand that using it could potentially save thousands of lives. If, for instance, the people of Texas were dying from malaria at a disproportionately high rate, I have no doubts that the leaders of that state would use DDT if other, less toxic, but also less effective methods to control it failed. I'm wondering if that is the case where the disease is wide spread? edit: I'm also wondering if the stronger individuals amongst them take charge and seek out and provide whatever it takes to protect the entire "tribe" and if not......why not?
