Reread that article again Geode00, rather than just picking out something you think makes your point.

What Christian fundamentalists (or anyone who has read the bible) will state is that that Israel loses its path religiously and spiritually (whatever that means) and as a consequence many of them will be killed because they refuse to accept that the messiah has returned to rescue them.

It says NOTHING about Christians being the cause of their destruction..

After all, most Christians believe they will be "raptured" LONG BEFORE the destruction of Israel takes place, so none of them will be around to protect the country.. (and btw, if it occurs within the next two years, you won't be able to blame it on Bush either... he won't be there.. ;0)

Either way.. My view is that I'd like to put off Armageddon as long as possible.

And if people like you continue to ignore the REALITY that Islamist militants have their OWN version of Messianism they are attempting to violently implement against all non-muslims, it's just possible they may obtain sufficient traction to facilitate Armageddon.
