Today is the 211th birthday of the US dollar - en.wikipedia.org

' ... The U.S. dollar has decreased in buying power over time because the number of dollars in circulation has grown more rapidly than demand for the dollar.' - precisely, eh

Those new coins are the first four-nines [.9999Au] coins out of the US, i believe ... many or most old ones were not much better than one-nine, i.e. 90%Au and ~10% 'unknown fibre' or something, some weighed more than one ounce so that they would contain one ounce pure gold, but they were nowhere near pure metal ... goldsheet Bob is the one who knows this stuff

'Zinc coated weight: 80 - 200g/m²' - from your post - looks like the weight of the galvanised sheet and not just the coating ... 1.5mm is roughly a sixteenth of an inch ... interesting link the second one - galvanizeit.org
