Bush went AWOL from the Guard, lied about it and left the Guard two years early to go to Harvard simply because his name name was Bush. That after dodging the draft like most Bushie leaders of his age. In fact, not a single major rightwing leader has ever served in combat. Later on, Bush's staff got ahold of his records and removed everything on the eight-month period when Bush was AWOL. The rumor is he was arrested for cocaine at the time and had drug problems. He was also a coward, afraid to fly. Bush has never ever flown an aircraft of any kind solo in his life. Yet in his autobiography he called himself a jet fighter pilot who "knew war".
