There was a time when NJ was known for its low taxes. In the sixties, my military husband and I used my NJ address as our home address because of the low taxes. He was from PA. I haven't been back since so I don't know how or when things changed, but I do remember buying cars without paying sales tax on them. Those were the days.

Phillip Margolian's series of three books featuring "Amanda Jaffee" is excellent, in case you missed it.

I've read some Margolin but don't recall that particular bit and don't recall whether I liked his stuff or not. Dale's got me reading investment books these days--Marc Farber and the like. Just finished Hedgehogging a couple of months ago.

Novels, novels, let's see. William Lashner's new one is acceptable for the bottom of the stack; I'm waiting for Cobden's new one to come from the library; ditto Robert Parker.

And you will remember this. About once every two or three months I reread one of Dorothy Dunnet's books. I'm on the fourth volume of the Lymond series.

Good to hear about the dancing. You'll definitely outlive me. I'm doing too much local politicking which is not good for all sorts of things.
