Because the market for talent is now global. And that cuts both ways -- it also means that there is no need to limit talent searching to the US. Living in the US may once have assured people of a relatively high income -- but not any more. Now what matters is your education, your drive, your talents and your experience. You can live anywhere. A person who has the credentials listed above will do fine anywhere. A person without them will increasingly struggle no matter where they live. This is far more important than the current real estate cycle, as out of whack as it may be in the short term.
