HOTT - 4.19 ah DJ Hot Topic Dec Comp Store Sales Dn 6.2%; Lowers 4Q EPS View DOW JONES NEWSWIRES Hot Topic Inc. (HOTT) on Wednesday reported December sales at stores open at least one year fell 6.2% from a year earlier. Analysts surveyed by Thomson Financial, on average, estimated same-store sales would slide 6.5%. Hot Topic said Hot Topic-brand same-store sales fell 6.9% in December, while Torrid-brand same-store sales slipped 0.9%. Total Sales in December were $123.1 million, down 6% from a year earlier, the specialty retailer said. Hot Topic also lowered its fourth-quarter earnings outlook to a range of 25 cents to 29 cents a share from a previous estimate of 29 cents to 33 cents a share.
