The products are brittle because the raw materials used are often of poor quality and the physical properties of the parts are only as good as the raw material allows.

The specifications used in FL are fairly typical -

972-3.3 Plastic Chairs and Bolsters: Plastic may either be reinforced or non-reinforced, but shall meet the following requirements for a working temperature range of 20 to 150ºF [-7 to 65ºC]:

I did a google search on "plastic chair rebar". There are a lot of companies selling this stuff. Like you said PLNI doesn't have the corner on this market. If you go to the various vendors web sites they have prices and pictures and catalogs. Unlike PLNI.

Has anyone ever seen a PLNI catalog?
