What does your progressivism mean? You can't solve a problem unless you have an idea of what the fix should be. Where do you stand on civil rights, gods/guns/gays, flag burning, the income tax, ss/medicare, immigration, preemptive war, trade/budget deficits, national debt, voter rights, Iraq, Iraq, North Korea, outsourcing, corporate regulation, public/private education, unions, etc? IMO the Republicans have, at least since Reagan, become thieves. They dress up their theft very nicely in patriotism, god, family values and similar stuff but it amounts simply to decades of thievery.
