I can understand the time crunch but I don't think it's difficult to have an opinion on these issues. IMO it's your opinion on issues such as these which make you a progressive or a regressive.

The label doesn't matter, it's the stand on issues.

EG i fully expect in 50 years that gay marriage will be legal and folks then will laugh at todays argument. But i also feel we are not quite ready for it now and that a better way is to legalze domestic partnerships and the like.

This I've never understood. What's the difference between a "gay marriage" and a "legalized same sex partnership", other than the word "marriage"?
