Bushies are at war with the Constitution. What Bushies are saying is that:

1) The war on terrorism is a war. That is not correct. Terrorists are scattered cells of invididuals who know no nation except maybe Bush allies Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, plus a few others, including Afghanistan which is trending back into terrorist-friendly control.

2) Since we're "at war" then the president has the power to do anything including breaking any way with no oversight and no respect for civil liberties. This eliminates the Constitution, the courts and the congress, the three most important foundations of democracy.

3) This president is above all laws and cannot be prosecuted for breaking any of them, because we're "at war". THIS IS FASCISM. At least wannabe fascism. It's un-American and dangerous as hell. Particular with this bunch of proven cheaters and liars in charge. We are not "at war". We have a war against terrorists just like we have a war against drugs or a war against disease. But this is not a war. And the Iraq invasion was not connected to 9-11 or terrorism. Until after Bush dared terrorists to come in and attack our troops. Which they started doing after that.
