Gore is 100% telling the truth and you should be ashamed of backing the BS Exxon and other pollutors are putting out to they don't have to change their noxious habits. Also, go see his film before you contradict it. Gore offers very solid evidence to back up his claims.

Also, do not trust these Exxon scientists. These are the same people who lied to us since 2000 about why they needed to double our energy prices and tear down all environmental protection. Exxon is now sitting on 35 billion in cash, much of ill-gotten from the recent energy gouging. A portion of this money they use to pay for anyone in the planet with a science degree who will publish what they themselves know to be false, that global warming is not man-made and that it is not accelerating at an astounding pace the more people we have in the world.

Can we live with global warming? No. At least not for very long. The by-products of it are far too disasterous, including more and more storms like Katrina, floods, tornados, droughts, forest fires and wiping out of species, many of which we depend on for our food supply. Not to mention the fact that a 20 foot rise in ocean levels would wipe out a huge percentage of the world's habitable areas.
This doesn't happen all at once, but it is happening, and there are some things we can do to stop it. The passing of the Clean Air Act for instance slowed down global warming as proven by records taken from glacier ice rings.
