Right there is the beginning of the homeless persons population boom, that movie One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. It demonized insane asylums where many of them belong, and kicked off a 'poor them' movement. Now they are standing on street corners with a coffee can and a cardboard sign, when they are not otherwise occupied.

Some Times A Great Notion was a better movie. I liked the parts where Paul Newman saws the banker's desk in half with his chain saw, and freezes Henry fonda's hand in a permanent bird position, and then tows his raft of logs down the bay with the arm and bird at attention on his tugboat.

I get the comparison with Nurse Ratchet however. Lord help us.
