taxes on the house i bought in arcadia was $18. i expected had i lived there long enough for the tax bill to come in mine would have been a few thousand. I know a few people in los angles area ,long time residents paying a few hundred in real estate taxes.

i just looked up the house i lived in outside cherry hill new jersey. taxes are over $9000. value of house $228,0000. I sold the house thirty years ago for $118,000. I have to believe you can get a lot of house. 4 bedroom, living , family 2 kitchens three baths, finished basement stone rancher half acre, on golf course rather cheap vs other areas of the country.. Not hard to see why people live in south jersey and commute to nyc.

it appears looking at other house values assessments are at near full estimated value of house.
