If his insurance costs that much how many people did he kill?

It isn't how many he killed, it is how big the settlements/jury awards are for mistakes by people in the insurance pool.

One mistake by a doctor that seriously harms someone, and the malpractice insurer pays out hundreds of thousands of dollars. That is a big risk for the insurer, demanding big premiums. And that means even higher prices for medical services.

Sad, but true.
