Rat posted a piece with a clear anti-globalization theme, and I challenged him/her to defend the theory and offer examples where it succeeded. He/she did not. I don't know if Rat has any practical or academic experience in development issues, but some of us do. I live in one of the poorest countries in the world at the moment. I have lived and worked in several others too. That's the difference between sticking together in an abstract debate and dealing with issues where the rubber meets the road. FWIW, if your approach to politics is "my side/your side" then you may not enjoy this thread at all, unless you can debate the OTHERS in a civil fashion. Partisan cheerleading is not on the menu.
