So you aren't going to address my comments about globalization and how feasible it is to get folks outside your immediate circle to go along with your plan in a critical mass?

Just because the world has thousands of devout Buddhist monks doesn't mean that humanity as a whole is any closer to universal enlightenment, or even interested in getting there. Maybe it could be if human nature were different, but rearranging the priorities and motivations of millions or billions is quite another issue.

Good luck with your crusade.

WR, I don't disagree that the compact fluorescent lights are a good thing. But the "article" (more like an ad) you cited was a bit hyperbolic. I ran some of the numbers using my latest electricity costs of $.09/KWH. Turns out that for the claims to be true, a power producer would have to generate about four lbs of CO2 for every KWH.

Meaning a typical 500MW producer would be pumping out about two million lbs of CO2 an hour. A bit excessive, wot?
