There is an SI thread on the World Cup with lots of predictable bitching about referees and pleas for bigger goals and more scoring.

When it comes to sports, I'm afraid I'm an incurable homer, to use a term someone else did earlier. I'm an American pro (football, baseball, and basketball) fan. My wife dislikes, well even stronger, all of them.

Just could never get soccer. But the oldest daughter just tivoed the entire world cup because she was traveling. And will now go back and watch the matches which featured her favorite teams.

You wouldn't happen to know the name of the piece of music they play after every game. They played it today while they were holding up the trophy, then went into the Triumphal March from Aida. I just can't place it and it's driving me nuts. Google isn't helping.
