We have friends that have Pappas as their name.............they are Greek but it's no relation. they pronounce their name more like papoose...a short, eh, sound.

Pappas's chain in mostly in Texas. It's pronounced like poppas.

I have seen them in Houston, San Antonio and Dallas. I think there is one in Chicago too.

They are amazingly good.they do everything right........the food is so delicious and fresh.service is great.

I think they have a Pappas Burgers and a Pappas's steakhouse but I have mostly been to the cajun and seafood restaurants.

A couple years ago I went to a Seafood Pappas in Houston that had all you can eat live Maine lobster.........for $25.00 a person.............my God I could not believe it. Last year it was $35.00 on Wed nights. My husband and I went once.....it's not very healthy to eat too many lobsters but I swear they kept bringing them out as soon as you were done with one. My husband ate 6 of them!!!!!

They were fresh too..........I have cooked the live Maine lobsters and they were the real McCoy.

One year a friend trapped them in Boston Harbor and would come home every 2 weeks.....sold his friends live lobster for 2.50 each. I was sick of lobster that year!

Not good for cholesterol levels!! LOL
