why any rational person would blame the President for the failures of Nagin and Blanco.

I've been wondering this since the event!!! Liberals are still trying to sell this twisted logic. You know me a bit Peter<g>, I don't think any president is perfect Bush included but cripes at the very least, let's blame the dude for what he actually has or hasn't done!

BTW, I'm in the process of visiting relatives on the east coast (DC) so I'm missing the creature comforts of my own computer. Previously I was reading a very interesting article posted on SI about a legal move within India's justice system to outlaw the koran. I was interrupted just when it got interesting, (1st paragraph), I have no idea which thread I was on but if you've seen anything like it I'd really appreciate it if you could send a link. TIA

Yeah yeah, Peter...I know. If you and your family are left for days without any help from anybody you'll blame your local politician and not even think about the Federal government.

You must be a VERY discerning voter in your mayoral and gubernatorial elections.
