James Dean is just a name. You could use any rebel icon instead.

I am jealous. I have never had a ragtop. I had a Honda fuel injected two seater once, but it just wasn't very cool. I liked it because it performed and it got great gas mileage.

I had a 57 Ford 4 dr hard top. I took the handles off and filled in the rear door handle holes. The doors would open from the inside and the whole back of the front seat would fold forward to let people in the back. I had linkage on the floor and the engine was very modified. I can't remember everything I had done to the engine. It was fairly new because I was in high school. I know it had 3/2's and a big cam.The rear end was altered and it was heavier to take the torque. I'm not a mechanic so I can't tell you about it all anymore. It was raced a lot but I had trouble with the advance. I eventually went to a 312 Merc Engine and hung it up. It was a real pretty dark red and the cops loved it as much as I did. Talk about women, they loved red and of course me.:) Not as hot as my 1970 AAR Cuda and brand new.
