But it does go against Ted's assumption that the GOP is highly competent when it comes to winning elections.

It does deliver a simpler message, unfortunately it avoids the realities and complexities of our world.

The republicans still own the mainstream press, and the companys that make vote counting machines. That has been their primary advantage.

"The truth is that most Americans are forced to choose the lesser of two idiots."

..and we fail, even at that.

The rightwing GOP will do ANYTHING to win, and I mean anything. No matter how many laws they have to break, to them the end is worth the means. I'm not accusing them of murder(yet) but I would not put anything past them. After all, look at how they waged the war in Iraq so politically, and how many people have senselessly died over there?

Democrats meanwhile try to take the higher road and play by the rules. That hasn't been working. They've been cheated out of three elections in a row. But what do you do without subpeona powers to investigate the election fraud and all the rest of the corruption?

Time for the voters to speak. Time for a landslide victory not so much for democrats as against Bushie rightwingers.

Can't really argue against that one, either. But it does go against Ted's assumption that the GOP is highly competent when it comes to winning elections.

I didn't say the GOP was highly competent. You have to play by the rules and win to be highly competent. The GOP wins but they don't play by the rules; to whit, the number of GOPers in jails or under indictment.

The truth is that most Americans are forced to choose the lesser of two idiots.

Just as N. Koreans don't know understand how they are being screwed over so do many Americans. GOP mythology has insured that they continue to remain in the dark. Look at harris.......he actually believes he's what a good American/patriot is all about.
