Very interesting article, LindyBill, but unfortunately the leadership and stewards of the mainlines are neither listening to or reading anything that conflicts with their widely touted liberal agendas. And it is historic Christianity that suffers, so much so that it is now totatally dependent on the protection and support of those "off-brand" denominations that appear to be the only groups capable of listening to the still small voice. And then, of course, there are still millions of us in the traditions of Martin Luther, Henry David Thoreau, and those brave and foolhardy Anabaptists, who still insist that the way to spiritual victory and peace of the soul is through a direct relationship with the Creator of the universe and not through any institution made by and conditioned by the hand and mind of man (or woman).
