JFK was tremendous on all levels, bringing us out of the bleak, paranoid confirmistic 50's into a new age of hope and freedoms. He was great for the economy and business but also for the people, all the people. Whatever rightwing wack jobs murdered him I hope are burning slowly in hell for eternity. Because they damaged this country more than 1000 Al Qaidas.

And yes, JFK also slept with other women, making it clear that a president's sex life is not what matters, his performance in office is, and his bringing the country together to get positive things done.

One of the biggest lies of Bush was when he kept repeating "I'm a uniter, not a diver". No one has ever divided this country more. And those who support him have come to support lying, cheating, smearing, incompetence, draining our military, spending way beyond our capacity, stealing elections, taking away civil liberties and institutionalized corruption.

Have Bushies turned into fascists? Let's check, using you as an example.

Would you follow Bush-Cheney no matter what? Would you lie about, smear and demonize anyone Bush's campaign told you to hate, even an honest war hero leader with a flawless record on ethics? What if Bush-Cheney declared martial law, disbanded congress and installed a one party autocratic war, using some kind of a terrorist attack as an excuse?

And might I remind you that some Bushies openly specultated about doing this before the 2004 election "if there was another 9-11", or maybe "if we knew we were going to lose"?

This is fascism, Ann. Already we are partway there. Bush-Cheney are ignoring congress and snubbing their noses at the courts and laws. They are trying to crush the free will and independence of the CIA and major news organizations. They are trying to deny individual rights, civil rights and privacy rights. They are privatizing much of the government's key areas, including military, using huge companies they and their pals control. Their borrow-spend scheme plus all the coirporate gouging is a huge ripoff that puts more and more money into their own pockets.

And of course they are cheating to win, it seems, every election. Then you see hate-mongers like Anne Coulter and the smearvets being cheered by the Bushie right even though they are the most obvious kind of propagandist liars. While Barry Goldwater (an honest conservative) rolls over in his grave. What is not fascist about all of this? You tell me. And why does the success of Bush-Cheney seem to depend more and more on war without end, secrecy and ripping up the Constitution?
